NOLS NZ IS BACK IN ACTION

Last week saw our first two semester groups arrive and prepare for their 77 day expeditions.  With two days here at the branch the students bagged their food, organized their equipment and started to get familiar with both the NZ and NOLS cultures.

After preparations had been done both semester groups headed up to Kaikoura for 2 days to spend time with the local moari people and to learn about their traditions and culture...

New Zealand Semester Fall 1 09/13/2012 (NZSF 1)

NZSF1 Group

NZSF 1: M.Clementi, L.Cooney, G.Goldman, W.Haynes, B.Petersen, T.Reinhardt, J.Sadler, G.Schroeder, L.Sunstein, T.Wright

NZSF1 has started their journey mountaineering in the Arrowsmith Range.  They will be mountaineering for 22 days, seakayaking in the Marlborough Sounds for 21 days and exploring Kahurangi National Park for 28 days hiking.

NZSF2 Group
NZSF 2: C.Bailey, M.Dalton, G.Evanko, E.Freedman, B.Furse, C.Highland, M.Horvatt, B.Jones, R.Lane, J.Morrison

NZSF2 Have just started their sea kayaking section in the Marlborough Sounds. After Sea kayaking for 24 days they will be mountaineering in the Arrowsmith Range for 20 days and hiking down south in Ahuriri Conservation Park for a further 27 days.
